  • The two trips to Europe to compete in the respective World Championships will be awarded, at the organiser's discretion, to the winners first, and then to each successive finalist until one of them is able to confirm, within the following 10 working days of the tournament, their ability to travel to Europe and participate in the championships.
    • will arrange and pay for a return economy class flight to a suitable airport in the hosting country, and any ground transportation to the location of the allocated hotels.
    • The international sponsors (Days of Wonder and Kosmos) will pay for hotel accommodation of their choosing and for most meals and refreshments during the period of the tournaments.
    • Visa costs, additional spending money & sundry costs, and transfer costs to Johannesburg Int. Airport are for the prize-winners own account.
  • Entrants under 18 may enter the ICON tournaments but they are unfortunately not eligible to enter into the World Championships in Europe and are therefore not eligible to win the trips to Europe. They are eligible to win any of the other prizes awarded.

  • The starting player for Ticket to Ride games will be via a method chosen by the Judges on the day.

  • Escalations of any issues or misconduct must be made to the head judge during the game, not after the game has completed.
